The Lady Titans traveled to Boonville Thursday night to take on the Boonville Lady Pioneers and were victorious 59-53. It was an exciting night as the Lady Pioneers were having their Coaches v. Cancer night! Many great festivities were included in this game to honor those who have fought cancer. On the court, the Lady Titans jumped out to an early 14-7 lead after 1 and were up 30-21 at the half. Foul trouble plagued the Lady Titans all night as their leading scorer, Meredith Raley, was forced to the bench early in the 2nd quarter and fouled in in the 4th quarter. Meredith still led the team in scoring with 14 pionts. With Raley being out for large stretches of the game, the Lady Titans had to look to other girls for offense. Shay Whitten stepped up wtih a big 12 pionts, Kamryn Miller chipped in 11, while Claire Jones was a perfect 8-8 from the line for 10 points. Other girls to get into the scoring column were Taylor Singer (6 points) and Brooke Goedde and Ava Weisheit each chipped in 3 points. The varsity game awards went to: Maci Foster (Hard Hat), Brooke Goedde (Lunch Pail), and Meredith Raley (Windex bottle). The Lady Titans are back in action tomorrow as they welcome PAC opponent Tell City to town. The varsity game tips at noon. Hope to see everyone there!
